Dress Code

VBMS STUDENT UNIFORM DRESS CODE

The VBMS student uniform dress code is designed to promote a positive, safe, and healthy learning environment. The dress code is also designed to prepare our students for the professional working environment. As a general rule, clothing that is torn, shredded, excessively tight or revealing, oversized, gang-related in anyway, or contains inappropriate messages or symbols is unacceptable and CANNOT BE WORN. Please check with administration if you are in doubt about an item not listed here.

Depending on the severity of the dress code infraction students may need to make a phone call home to inform parents/families of the dress code violation and will need to make arrangements for someone to bring appropriate clothes to school. If a parent/family member cannot bring a change of clothes the student will be sent to In School Suspension (ISS).

If the infraction is minor the student will be assigned lunch detention for the day.

It is important to know that the Student Agenda is considered a part of the VBMS uniform. Students are required to have their agenda every day. Students who do not have their Student Agenda are subject to school consequences.

Lost agendas: If an agenda is lost, the student will have three days to purchase a replacement from the office.
